I've updated the rankings... Due to the special we did, in which half of the Championship points gained go to Justin Bishop, he jumped from 6th to 4th, right on the tail of 3rd, and, double the points of 5th... He gained 22250 points... Thanks for everyone who participated in MGA-UGC games and helped raise that ammount.

It's been decided & is now being made official... As Justin Bishop, whose in the National Guard, won't be back until Septmeber ATLEAST, and is such a figurehead of the Tournaments, we're giving him a slight Birthday Present(His Birthday is June 8th), all "Ultimate Gaming Championship" games(held on Sunday, May 27th), will have the points totals halved(Ex: Player A would gain 1000 points, Player B would gain 2000 points, the points would be halved, Player A receiving 500 points, Player B receiving 1000 points, and Justin receiving 1500 points)... Noone I've contacted has objected, as well as a unanimous staff vote in favor of this idea.. I hope noone has any problems with it... THATS FINAL!!

As of today, changes are being made to change the tournament name from "Mena Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament", to "Mena Gaming Assocation", as we've been focusing more & more on Video Game Tournaments, and less on the card games... Reunions will still continue, but don't be surprized to see them die down as the months pass.

The Reunion was pretty fun... Alot of championship games... I'm happy to announce that I'm once more, first in the Rankings.. And the other big mover was Sahil Bhan, who moved from 8th to 5th... The Rankings are updated... Here are the four BIG ranking moves... These all came after the MYT-Ultimate Gaming Championship was on the line & defended...... Chad Chandler went from 9th to 6th... Randall Pochmara, from 6th to 5th.... And, its my... Awkward pleasure to announce, that for the first time that I can remember, I am no longer the "Top Dog", as Ronnie took first from me, bumping me down to 2nd and 900 Points away from him... Due to the lackluster attendance for the JOLT Tournament, its already been decided that the next tournament(To be held Last Weekend of May or First Weekend of June, depending on JOLT's schedule..), will ALSO, be profiting JOLT... We made $71.76 over the past weekend, which is an "OK" ammount, but is still in the shadows of our previous totals... The next Yu-Gi-Oh! Reunion tournament will be on May 6th........ Since this is the day before the tournament, I figure I may aswell reveal some of my plans to make this one special.. First of all, we will be raffling off a Playstation 2 Video Game, a $10 Rick's Gift Certificate, and a $5 Rick's Gift Certificate.. Due to the cost of admitance, we're going to have a "All Day Pass", for all ADVERTiSED games, which will be $5 to enter in everything advertised(Tournament Staff Will Get A SLIGHT Discount On This)... ALSO, we will be having more games than ever before, with special un-advertised tournaments being held($.50 Per), to give EVERYONE a good chance of being entered into a raffle.... After a long month & some-odd weeks of promoting, we're 24 hours from the tournament... Due to the response, and due to time restrictions set on us by Rick's & scheduling, the Halo 2 Tournament will be NO MORE than 32 participants large... I have no doubt in my mind that we can do that, and more, but I'm going to have to cut it down to a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis... Remember, we arive at 10AM tomorrow, so be there on time, so that you can sign in, secure your spot, and GUARENTEE your one of the 32!

With a week until the tournament, I made some changes to the format & prizes... First of all, I've spread it from first & second place, to first through fourth place prizes... Secondly, the levels to be played on have been chosen.... And finally, the first round opponents will be RANDOMLY distributed, via a drawing, therefore noone will know their opponents UNTIL the match is announced... Should make things interesting... HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE!!

Not much to update about recently, besides the fact that Justin, Stephan, & myself have been recently working all the bugs out of the Halo 2 Tournament set-up... Nothing really needing to be noted here besides these two facts, first, we're most likely going to have people VOTE on 6 levels, with the MOST LIKED, being the level the finals are played on, and the other 5 RANDOMLY distributed throughout the rounds... And secondly, the prizes... First place, gets the advertised & promised, $5.00 Rick's Gift Card... The change is, a second place prize, of a $2.50 Gift Card.... Hope you like the changes... I don't really enjoy posting "Long Term" plans on here, because then I feel obligated to fulfil them... Maybe thats why I'm doing it.. LOL... Anyways, if all goes as planned, and this is as planned in my mind, not on paper... If all goes as planned, there is a chance that by the end of 2007, the tournament will be heading in 1 of 2 directions....
A: Running full time, weekly video game Tournaments every weekend, Saturday & Sunday.. OR.............. B: Closed down & a thing of the past...
Now, I'm not going into great detail, but, I have my eye on a place, and I have a job, so if things work as planned, I really am rooting for A... But, you never know, as things change often for the tournament Month by Month, much less the changes that could happen between now & the end of the year...... But, either way, as always, I'll keep ya posted....
PS: Since Justin rairly reads this, I can say this without any thoughts from him..
Justin Bishop is a good friend, probably one of, if not THE best I've ever had..... That said, he recently joined the National Guard, and, I know I RAIRELY get religeous here, but, I'd like everyone to pray for him, and pray that everything goes right, and most importantly, that he doesn't get sent to Iraq...

The next MYT Sponsored event will be a Reunion Tournament on March 4th @ 12 NOON... As of right now, the plan is to do the Yu-Gi-Oh! Portion fast, with the winner getting a MYT: Ultimate Gaming Championship shot, and then, I also plan on bringing only MY(Stephan & Justin MAY or MAY NOT help.. No clue at this time), but only bringing a select ammount of games, and holding some MYT:UGC games as well.. This is not final, and probably won't be set in stone for a few weeks, but that is the plan at this time..

I updated the Rankings after Yesterday... Since we had a small group, and I forgot all about it, the MYT Ultimate Gaming Championship will be up for the first time, for all challengers, at the MYT/OLT Video Game Event on February 10th & 11th... Remember, the champion(Justin Bishop) can be challenged in ANY game that isn't LUCK or PHYSICAL related, and MUST defend ATLEAST once... But, with the points, I don't see why ANYONE would stop at ONE...

As of today, I am bringing the "Undisputed MYT Championship" out of retirement, with some raises stakes, and a new name... The MYT Ultimate Gaming Championship, can be defended in ANY type of game at a MYT Sponsored Event, and has high Ranking Point stakes... 250Points for HOLDING it at the end of an event, 500Points Per Opponent For Unsucessfully Defending The Championship(You get points if you choose to defend & lose), and 750Points Per Opponent For Sucessfully Defending The Championship(Points For Winning A Defense)... Thus, making this championships points value un-matched by most TOURNAMENTS! And the first champion? The man who unified the Championships back in the Summer of '05, Justin Bishop!
