BASIC RULES & INFO
A) Have Fun
The RMCC Mena Gaming Association Is Meant To Be Fun... So Do It!
B) Conduct & Respect
Be Friendly And Kind (Don't Be A Sore Loser And/Or Bad Winner, Doing So Will Result In Your Being Asked To Leave The RMCCMGA Area Or Being Disqualified. Shake Hands With Your Opponent Before AND After Tournaments/Events. We Will Permit Very Little Cursing At RMCCMGA Events. If You Are Heard Cursing, The Staff Will Be Permitted To Take Action, As It Is VERY Uncalled For! If You Are Told To Do Something By A Staff Member, Show Some Respect And DO IT! Don't Question Their Authority! If You Have A Problem, Come To A Member Of The Executive Board. Don't Argue With The Staff Or Talk Back To Them, You Will Be Warned, And Possibly Disqualified... Or Worse! Remember, The Staff Are In Charge, NOT YOU!
The Tournaments/Events Are Meant To Be Fun, Don't Take Anything Seriously Or Make Anything Personal! Racist, Sexual, Sexist, Prejudice, Intolerant, Or Any Other Degrading, OR Derogatory Remarks Directed At Any Gender, Religion, or Race, or Sexual Harassment Will NOT Be Tolerated! Even In A "Joking" Manner!
C) Rulings & Warnings
The Staff Will Get Stricter With Each And Every Warning. If People Continue To Ignore The Warnings, They Will Be Reprimanded By:
A) Being Disqualified From A Single Or Number Of Tournaments.
B) Being Suspended From The Current Or Future Events.
Or Ultimately, C) Being Banned From ALL FURTHER RMCCMGA EVENTS!
The RMCCMGA Staff Has The Right To Define Rulings And Interpret Them To Cover All Circumstances And Situations, And Decide On The Appropriate Actions As Fitting!
MGA Rules
1) Talking
Absolutely NO Talking To The Participants/Contestants While They Are Competing (Excluding Staff Members). We Don't Mind Talking Between The Participants/Competitors, But If It Holds Up The Competition/Game, The Staff Can, And Probably Will Request That All The Talking Stops Except The Conversation That Is Required For The Game. NEVER Tell ANY Statistics Of One Player To Another, Hint To Any Information About The Competition/Game, Doing So Will Result In An Instant Suspension From The RMCCMGA.
2) Eliminated
Once You Are Eliminated, You Are Welcome To Stay And Watch The Rest Of The Competitions/Games As Long As You Don't Cause A Problem Or Distract The Other Participants/Contestants. You Might Even Be Re-Entered Into A Tournament/Event If We Are Short On Participants Or If Someone Leaves, So Stick Around!
3) Theft
If You Are Caught Stealing ANYTHING, Not Only Will The Item(s) Be Returned, But The Thief WILL Be Banned From Further Tournaments/Events. Thieves Will NOT Be Tolerated! If You Are Caught Stealing ANY RMCCMGA Property, Such As Games, Controllers, Or Other Equipment, We WILL NOT Hesitate To Call Law Enforcement Officials And Your Name Will Be Turned Over To The RMCC Vice President For Student Affairs..
4) Searches
Suspicious Behavior, Or The Carrying Of Large Bags (Such As Backpacks) May Result In A Search. The Person’s Belongings Will Be Searched By The Mena Gaming Association Staff. This Is Because Of The Always Present Risk Of Thefts At RMCCMGA Events. A Minimum Of Two RMCCMGA Staff Members Will Administer The Search, While The Participant Watches. This Is Simply To Take Inventory Of Any Gaming Equipment Being Brought In And Out, To Make Sure Nothing Of Yours Seems To Be Missing, And Nothing New Has Been Added.
5) Large Bags
Due To The Risk Of Theft, Large Bags Will Be Requested To Be Left In A Designated Safe Area. This Is To Guarantee Nothing Of Yours Is Taken From Your Property, And Nothing Of Anyone Else's Is Added To It. (See Rule 4) If There Is No Designated Safe Area For Any Reason, Large Bags Will Be Searched Whenever A Staff Member Sees Fit. If A Staff Member Does Request A Bag Search, It Is Not Because There Is Any Discrimination Against Anyone.
6) "M" Rated Games
Although The Majority Of Games Are Rated “E” For Everyone, Some Games The Mena Gaming Association Plays Are Rated "M" For Mature Content. The "M" Rating Is Usually For Violence, Or Content During The Story/Career Mode. As The RMCCMGA Concentrates On The Multi-Player Functions Of The Games, No Nudity Or Language Will Be Shown/Heard During RMCCMGA Events. No Games That Have Unnecessary Nudity Or Bad Language, Will Not Be Played At Any RMCCMGA Event. If Anyone Tries Or Does Play A Game That Has Bad Content Without The Permission Of A Staff Member Will Be Reprimanded As The Staff Sees Fit. Consequences May Vary.
7) Video Game Controllers
There Are NO BAD CONTROLLERS! All Controllers Work Equally As Well, And There Is NO NOTICEABLE Delay On Wireless Controllers! Don't Fight Over Controllers! Most Controllers Are Owned/Donated By Or Borrowed From The Staff & Participants, Therefore, They Are Entitled To Use Their Own Controller If They Wish To.
8) "If The Game Allows It
IT'S LEGAL!" In-Game "Glitches," Such As Super Jumps, Hiding Spots, Or Other Strategic "Glitches" Are PERFECTLY LEGAL! "Screen Cheating," Although Very UN-Sportsmanlike, Cannot Be Proven Or Stopped, And Thus, Although Annoying, Is Allowed. Cheat Codes Are ILLEGAL In RMCCMGA Tournaments & Events!
9) Tampering With MGA Equipment
Tampering With RMCCMGA Equipment, Such As Intentionally Pulling Plugs Or Controllers, Or Any Other Attempts To Possibly Modify The Outcome Of A Game Is STRICTLY AGAINST THE RULES! Doing So Will Result In Your IMMEDIATE Disqualification From The Current Tournament/Event As Well As The Advancement Of Those Affected By Your Actions.
10) Promotion & Selling
No One May Promote Any Type Of Card Or Game Tournament/Event At An RMCCMGA Event Without Direct Consent From A Member Of The Executive Board. If You Are Caught Promoting A Tournament/Event Without Permission, You Will Be IMMEDIATELY Banned! NO ONE Is Allowed To Sell ANYTHING At The RMCCMGA Without The DIRECT Permission Of A RMCCMGA Staff Member.
11) Wagers & Bets
Gambling WILL NOT be tolerated! Wagering ANYTHING On A RMCCMGA Event/Tournament, No Matter What It Is, Is Considered Gambling, And Is Unacceptable!
12) Surrendering & Giving Up
Unless You Want To Be Suspended From The Current Tournament/Event, Don't Go Surrendering Just Because You Think You'll Lose! Finish The Competition/Game! You Never Know What Your Next Card/Game Will Be, And You Won't Lose Any Less By Sitting Out, Than By Playing The Game To A Loss! Don't Surrender Every Competition/Game!
13) Leaving The Tournament Room
We STRONGLY Recommend That People Entered in A Tournament/Event Don't Leave The RMCCMGA Room, & More Importantly, Don't Leave The Building Without First Informing A Mena Gaming Association Staff Member! Don't Leave A Competition/Game Without Informing A Staff Member AND Your Opponent First! If You Leave A Competition/Game Without Informing Them, You Will Be Disqualified From That Tournament AUTOMATICALLY! If You leave The ROOM, And Your Game Is Called, You Will Be Called Twice, And Searched For Once, With 60 Seconds To Return To The Room Before Being Disqualified. You Are Not Allowed To Leave The Building Without Direct Permission From A RMCCMGA Executive Board Member.
14) Rough Housing & Throwing Things
Do NOT Rough House, Wrestle, Or Jump On People In The RMCCMGA Room. Also, Do NOT Throw ANYTHING In The RMCCMGA Room. Hand Things To People, Don't Throw Them! You Break It, You Buy It!
15) Chairs & Other Furnature
The Chairs And Tables In The Association Room Does NOT Belong To The RMCCMGA, Therefore, Sit In Them Correctly! All Four Legs Of Chairs MUST Remain On The Floor While Sitting At ALL Times! Do NOT Lean Back In Them, As It Bends And Breaks The Legs. Do NOT Sit On Tables! Once More, You Break It, You Buy It!
16) Room Lighting/Heating & Air
The Room MUST Remain Lit Even If Partially, For Safety Reasons. Only RMCCMGA Staff Or Other Establishment Personnel Should EVER Touch The Light Switches, Or Adjust The Heating/Air Conditioning Of The Room.
17) Noise
There Is A DIFFERENCE Between INSIDE And OUTSIDE Voices. Do NOT Yell, Even In Frustration, As It is Distracting, Not Only To Other Participants, But ALSO To RMCCMGA Staff.
18) MGA Room & Trash
If You Bring Or Buy Anything To Eat Or Drink, THROW AWAY YOUR TRASH! The Mena Gaming Association Staff Runs A Gaming Association, NOT A Cleaning Crew! Chewed Gum & Other Types Of Candy Should Be Thrown In The Trash Or Swallowed When You're Finished With It! NOT ON THE FLOOR OR UNDER A TABLE! If I Find Food, Drinks, Or Trash Left In The RMCCMGA Room, We Will Do Our Best To Find Out Who It Belongs To, And Suspend Or Even Ban People! Don't Risk It!
19) PDA
PDA = Public Display Of Affection... No Inappropriate Physical Contact In The RMCCMGA room! The RMCCMGA Is A FAMILY Organization!
20) Sexual Harassment
Sexual Harassment Means Any Unwanted, Inappropriate Physical Contact, And Is A Serious Offense! It Will Lead To An INSTANT Ban From The Mena Gaming Association!
